    Role Summary/Purpose:

    As a Generative AI Product Owner, you will be responsible for the launch and ongoing development of the generative AI products for Synchrony Financial using the Agile methodology. You will work cross functionally to design and implement innovative solutions using generative AI techniques. You will be responsible for researching, identifying epics, prioritizing the backlog, developing, verifying and delivering generative AI models and applications.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    As the Generative AI Product Owner, we'll rely on you to exercise your excellent project management expertise and solid business knowledge of various generative AI techniques and applications used across the enterprise to define business objectives, identify epics and priorities, plan sprints, develop, validate and deliver launch plans related to growth initiatives, while ensuring a superior customer experience.

    You will do this by

    • Being the point person on the product development team, using their high-level perspective to define goals and create a vision for generative AI projects.
    • Being responsible for communicating with stakeholders across the board, including customers, business managers, ART partners and the development team to make sure the goals are clear, and the vision is aligned with generative AI objectives.
    • Helping the agile team maintain the vision by creating a product roadmap.
    • Creating the list of backlog items and prioritizing them based on the overall strategy and generative AI objectives. Additionally, mapping out project dependencies to inform the necessary sequence of development.
    • Spending a significant amount of time overseeing the actual development of the generative AI products; being a key player throughout each event, including planning, refinement, review, and sprint.
    • Being accountable for cross function integration and approval including Compliance, Legal, Brand (Marketing) Reporting, Planning, Forecasting, Training, and Communication.
    • Performing other duties and/or special projects as assigned

    Required Skills/Knowledge:

    • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years' of Team/Process lead experience in Financial Services Industry or experience in AI Technology, including Data Science methods, Data Analytics, or similar (or in lieu of a degree 8+ years)
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience participating in projects using Agile methodology (SAFe/Non SAFe).
    • SAFe POPM trained or certified
    • Strong business acumen and knowledge of applications used across different functions.
    • Superior decision-making skills.
    • Expert verbal & written communicator. Should be able to modulate content based on audience.
    • Ability to break down complex operational/systemic procedures & create/convert them into simplified process maps/documents.
    • Action oriented - create an environment to leverage agile methodology and deliver continuous benefit to the business teams during a project
    • Proven experience in problem solving and negotiated solutions
    • Working with cross-functional teams (not limited to - architects, application engineers, UX designers, and outsourced vendors) to create a holistic roadmap and planning for product delivery
    • Ability to build & maintain relationships & partnerships with key stakeholder

    Desired Skills/Knowledge:

    • Prior PMP, Scrum, SAFe trained or certified
    • Prior Product Owner or Business Analyst experience
    • Solid Project Management skills
    • Experience as a data scientist, data analyst, or similar
    • Technical Aptitude / background
    • Self-Starter with a strong work ethic
    • Ability to make decisions where applicable and escalate when necessary
    • Solid prioritization and organizational skills

    Grade/Level: 11

    The salary range for this position is 90, ,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

    Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

    Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • You must be 18 years or older
    • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
    • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
    • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
    • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
