A health services network in the Hudson Valley is looking to add a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their growing team in Ulster County.
About the Opportunity:

Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: 3 months (Contract to Hire)
Shifts: 7am to 3:30pm

Responsibilities:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will:

Make rounds with MD and report any changes in resident condition to MD
Accurately chart changes in condition and nursing observations
Administer medications and perform treatments as per Physician's orders
Take telephone/verbal orders and transcribes and notes same accurately
Initiate and complete occurrence reports accurately
Review lab reports and other diagnostic test reports and reports finding to MD and supervisor
Initiate infection control reports
Schedule resident appointments following proper procedures
Make out daily unit report and gives a thorough report to on coming shift
Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

Graduate of a Practical Nursing program
NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
CPR certification
Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
Patient oriented
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
