    Description

    Supervises all aspects of the Chemical and Beverage Regional Sales and Service team. Trains and develops Sales and Service Specialists to ensure high level of service and repairs on equipment programs.

  • Manages regional employees in servicing and repairing chemical and beverage equipment.
  • Plans and assists in the personal and professional development of the chemical and beverage sales and service specialists in assigned region. Trains, motivates, and supports the sales service specialists to provide unparalleled service to GFS customers.
  • Manages regional equipment and parts inventory to minimize cash investments.
  • Creates and implements business plans for assigned region in support of overall department goals.
  • Understands the departments' key performance indicators and the assigned regions' impact on the indicators.
  • Understands, requests and analyzes pertinent reports and resources to drive effective decision-making.
  • Develops action plans to achieve department goals.
  • Identifies and coaches sales and service specialists on service and preventive maintenance related issues. Identifies and presents service program information to internal and external customers.
  • Provides equipment expertise and market intelligence.
  • Assist in national or chain account service opportunities.
  • Participates in the planning and execution of training for all aspects of sale and service specialist responsibilities. Facilitates and monitors service and training activity in support of identified goals.
  • Monitors and evaluates working models that define sales and service specialists' capacity.
  • Collaborates with category product specialist on the sales process.
  • Participates in the planning and execution of food shows, other shows, and activities in support of strategic plans.
  • Plans and facilitates regional chemical and beverage meetings as appropriate.
  • Provides route coverage for open routes and assists team with equipment installation and diagnostic problems.
  • Develops capital and operational budget for the department. Routinely monitors, manages and controls budget, analyzes variances and takes appropriate action and develops plans for productivity improvements.
  • Interviews, hires, train, and retain staff. Conducts semi-annual performance monitoring of staff, initiating follow through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate for the department. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff and acts as a role model and resource to them.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Customer Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Business Acumen - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of Marketing principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling Chemical & Beverage products and services.

  • Knowledge of all products, equipment, and tools required in completing the tasks that are required of the job and maintain the appropriate safety precautions.
  • Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field.
  • Seven years previous sales or marketing experience with chemical and beverage product environment exposure and three years previous supervisory experience.
  • Valid State Driver's License required
