    Windcrest Nursing and Rehab -

    RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living in or to promote resident independence and dignity.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

    · Must have current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas

    · Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of Texas and Misconduct Registry

    · Ability to understand, remember, and carry out verbal and written instructions in English

    · Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    · To assure resident safety

    · Bathe, shower, shampoo, shave, comb hair, dress appropriately, nail care of any residents assigned

    · Follow resident assignment schedule as made out by the charge nurse

    · Lift, move and transfer residents as required

    · Answer call lights in a timely manner

    · Assist or feed residents

    · Keep resident clean and dry, toileting or providing incontinent care

    · Provide supportive, protective, and safe environments for residents

    · Safely lift, move, and transfer residents as required. This involves the ability to safely transfer residents who cannot bear their own weight. It also involves the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting in excess of 150 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations; manual dexterity required performing tasks in assisting residents with their personal needs

    · Maintain compliance and monitoring of completion by Certified Nurse Aides in POC/PCC as required for completion

    · Other duties as assigned

    · Know and participate in the facility emergency preparedness plan

    · Adhere to dress code.

    · Is able to follow oral and written instructions, is pleasant, tactful and courteous and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, residents and client staff.

    · Perform other duties/tasks as may be assigned.

    · Complete and/or attend required in-service training.

    · Communicate in a professional and courteous manner using effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills with residents, their families, and team members.

    · Maintain confidentiality of department, resident, employee information, communication, and documentation as well as compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.

    · Clock in and out for all working/training hours. Working off the clock is not permitted at any time or for any reason.

    · Maintain compliance with company's Compliance program and plan.

    · Adhere to the Abri Code of Conduct

    · These duties are not all-inclusive but provide minimum performance expectations and are reviewed in the performance process.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to lift 100 pounds, if necessary, to assist fallen resident. Able to lift 50 pounds for routine performance of essential functions.

    WORK SCHEDULE: As assigned; including some weekends, holidays, and evenings. Non-Exempt Position
