    POSITIONSUMMARY:
    Workwith the Assistant Vice President of Engineering to facilitate andmanage the Greater Orlando Aviation Authoritys (Aviation Authority)engineering/architecture, development projects, and programs from inceptionthrough final design, bid and award, and provide oversight through constructionand closeout

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


    Bachelorsdegree related to architecture, building construction, construction managementdisciplines and eight (8) years of aviation related work experience for aconsulting firm, a construction company, a public agency, or an airportauthority in managing the design and construction of small and large scaleprojects or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and workexperience.

    Excellent interpersonal, management, and negotiation skillsProficient in use of computers and Microsoft Office productsKnowledge of architecture and construction means and methods, and management principles.

    Knowledge of design, estimating, project and program schedulingAbility to organize and manage multiple projects, conduct research, analyze data and formulate recommendationsDemonstrated ability to deal tactfully and confidently with internal and external customersEfficient time management methodKnowledge of the following areas:

    Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD);Geographic Information Systems (GIS); Building Information Modeling (BIM.)Proficient oral and written communication skills to prioritize and execute tasks to achieve both the organization and project goalsExcellent attention to detail and strategic thinkingMust be able and willing to work both standard and non-standard work schedules, including weekends to accommodate airport operationsProfessional Engineer, Architect, or General Contractor License is desirableCertification in a specialty subject area that may benefit the Aviation Authority is desirable
    This position requires permanent residency in the United States.
