Job Description

Line Cook Job Duties: 30-40 Hour Per Week

Preparing & executing meals for restaurant and catered events
Expo when needed
Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations

Line Cook Qualifications/Skills:

Basic written and verbal communication skills
Food expo knowledge
Organizational skills
Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
Ability to work as a team member
Follows directions and instructions

Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
Two years+ of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
A certificate in Culinary Arts preferred
Experience with various cooking methods and procedures

Familiar with industry best practices
