    Manager of Caregiver Services-Willing Hearts, Helpful Hands

    Full Time

    Willing Hearts, Helpful Hands is an innovative community program serving family caregivers in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties by connecting them with a circle of help that includes trained volunteers who provide an array of respite services. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for family caregivers of older adult loved ones by engaging the broader community to provide assistance and respite services. We are seeking a full time Manager of Caregiver Services to play a key role in our program.

    The Manager of Caregiver Services provides support, information and guidance to caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's diseases and other dementias, helping to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. You will conduct intake assessments, provide referrals, and implement innovate caregiver support services including support groups, education and training programs and caregiver wellness programs.

    You will also assist in outreach and promotional activities throughout the region, partnering with neighboring organizations who work in the field of mental health, dementia, and social services.

    The ideal candidate has experience working with diverse older adults, and their family caregivers. 2+ years of experience in the delivery of social services, community outreach or working in care coordination strongly preferred. College degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field strongly preferred; NYS licensure/certification in Social Work a plus. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with a diverse range of people. We also require all staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
