    Covercraft Industries is seeking a results-oriented Manufacturing Production Manager to lead our Wichita Falls, Texas facility toward operational excellence. In this role, you'll be instrumental in driving efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery for our production lines.

    Covercraft Industries, LLC has been the foremost branded manufacturer of Automotive, Marine, and Recreational Vehicle protection products since 1965. Additionally, we are a market leader in outdoor protection products for Home, and Garden. As a growing company, we operate six production plants across the US and Mexico.

    We're looking for a proven Production Manager to lead our team at our Wichita Falls, Texas facility. You'll leverage your experience to build a skilled workforce, driving continuous improvement in productivity and innovation. This role demands strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to push boundaries and achieve operational excellence.

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead improvements in all areas of manufacturing and shipping at Wichita Falls including Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Morale.
    • Support and enable site leadership's mission and strategy which provides a multi-year roadmap of operational excellence, incorporating the latest market technologies to reduce manufacturing costs, and improve throughput and quality, while improving employee safety.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives
    • Work closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
    • Provide coaching, development, and leadership of supervisors focused on manufacturing optimization, delivering consistent year-over-year improvements to all key metrics.
    • Responsible for the supervision, training and development of supervisors and employees with accountability for the growth and profitable operation of the assigned functions from the business plan.
    • Develop systems for cost control, operational efficiency, and increased production flow. Researches and introduces manufacturing methods, processes, and technology to the operation.
    • Maintain a "zero defects" quality culture where operators understand their responsibility to produce a quality product; ensure operators stop and fix defects when identified; and implement root cause solutions to prevent recurring defects.
    • Finished goods inventory shipping and traffic in the systematic storing of finished goods, picking, and handling process of shipping products to customers per packing slips promptly, coordinating shipping traffic of those products to the customer in an efficient and timely manner.
    • Build, attract, hire, and develop a high-performance work team of hourly employees through a strong partnership with HR and in compliance with regulations that improve employee retention and facilities for training and development of employees.
    • Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company's efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


    • Bachelor's degree with MBA preferred.


    • 7-10 years total industry experience, with a minimum of 4 in previous production leadership roles.


    • In Depth experience and deployment of lean methodologies


    • Sewing experience preferred, but not required.


    • In-depth knowledge of the operations & manufacturing industry.


    • Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics.


    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team.


    • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions, and solve problems independently.
