    Summary


    Creates and implements comprehensive software testing solutions for complex and diverse software systems with the primary focus being on increasing test coverage and test efficiency before an application is released to production environments.

    The incumbent must have a firm knowledge of the System Development Methodology, Software Quality Assurance methodology and the ability to understand technical concepts, involved with more than one application for a release phase or one large complex application.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities


    Include the following:
    Develops a functional knowledge of Arrowhead applications for a specified platform.
    Identifies and proposes appropriate solution alternatives and software updates/enhancements, based on needs of a particular client or specified platform.
    Develops and implements SQA solutions to unique software programming obstacles, quality issues and takes corrective action.

    Creates, designs, implements and executes test plans, test cases, test specifications and quality assurance standards for a diverse range of web based, desktop, client-server, legacy software applications, and insurance products.

    Participates in the review of specifications and requirements gathering for the QA department.

    Develops and analyzes reports for quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts using report tracking software.

    Develops testing solutions for various modules, product builds, and installations of new software releases, beta versions and product updates.

    Mentors, trains and provides on site client support for new team members, marketing, technical support, call center, customer support and external business partners in SQA practices and methodologies.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Familiar with testing software such as Selenium and Sikuli Test Scripting Languages, XML and understanding of programming concepts.

    Fundamental understanding of Web based applications, Client - Server backend processing systems, DOS based applications, desktop applications, testing tools and utilities, test and production environments, network architectures, and technical language.

    Ability to apply intermediate and advanced concepts of algebra and calculus such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
    Ability to apply principles of finance and accounting mathematics such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Direct Property and Casualty experience desired.
