    Role Overview:

    The Content Design Strategist will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the professional development content we offer. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of user experience (UX) design & multimedia integration to support the development of engaging and impactful learning experiences.The Content Design Strategist will work in collaboration with cross-functional teams and report to the Vice President of Content Development & Social Impact, within the Product Development business unit.

    Role Responsibilities:

    Partner with project leads and subject matter experts to communicate shared understanding and recommend strategic approaches

    • Define a shared understanding of the intended user experience and design objectives for professional development products
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that brand guidelines (from Marketing), product requirements (from Product Management) and strategic objectives (from Leadership), as well as learner needs and instructional content (from Content team) are reflected in the experience, layouts, and visual design of instructional content

    Design and Conduct User Experience Research

    • Apply UX principles to enhance the overall user experience of our instructional content, with an emphasis on our online learning content
    • Lead efforts across internal stakeholder teams and end users to ensure that we are engaging in human- and equity-centered content development & user research

    Develop Visual Design / Data Visualization / Design Strategy

    • Create standards, processes, templates, and layouts that reflect best practices and support brand consistency, quality, and design efficiency across content team products
    • Collaborate with multimedia specialists to integrate diverse formats, such as videos, and interactive elements, into the content design

    Manage a Team

    • Manage a team of instructional technologist(s) and multimedia specialist(s)
    • Continuously embrace and uphold Teachstone's values in everyday interactions with colleagues, external partners & clients, and in work products

    Role Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree (or higher) in education, visual graphics/art, human-centered design, or related field

    • 5+ years professional experience in the field of educational content development and/or visual design
    • Proficient in using multimedia/digital design tool and learning management systems
    • Experience in engaging in intentional collaboration with partners/stakeholders to develop interventions for education professionals (e.g., human-centered design)
    • Experience in reading and synthesizing user research, and preparing written feedback and recommendations
    • Experience with piloting and adapting educational products
    • Strong understanding of educational technology and its application in content development
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • A strong belief in education efforts that promote equity for children, families, and education professionals
    • Ability to provide feedback through multiple stages of project development in a constructive and solution-oriented way
    • Proficient in Google suite, Microsoft office, web-conferencing, statistical analysis, team management, and database and data management applications
    • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills that allow you to work with internal and external stakeholders including senior and junior staff, funders, clients, and partners
