    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced Criminal Defense Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal law and litigation, with a focus on providing comprehensive support to attorneys in all phases of criminal defense cases.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, for criminal defense cases.
    • Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to criminal matters.
    • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and law enforcement agencies to gather information and evidence for cases.
    • Manage case files, including organizing documents, maintaining electronic records, and tracking deadlines.
    • Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit preparation, and courtroom logistics.
    • Draft correspondence, subpoenas, and other legal documents as needed.
    • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on criminal defense.
    • Proficiency in legal research tools.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work product.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Bilingual English and Spanish
