    Public Health Infrastructure Grant

    Downtown, Oahu

    Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG)
    Operational Optimization Specialist

    $5,000 per month, salary commensurate w/ training and experience

    Exempt, non-civil service, part-time, temporary appointment. The position provides operational review, evaluation, recommendations, and assistance to DOH divisions, offices and attached agencies to optimize operational and administrative management of federal and other extramural awards processing that result in greater department-wide efficiency.

    The position will work independently to evaluate current federal projects and develop and implement a process to identify which federal projects are best served through the internal administration in DOH and which projects are best administered under the Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii (RCUH), or other credible entities.


    Minimum Qualification(s)

    EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a baccalaureate degree.

    EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of professional grant management/administration, budget oversight, or fiscal and personnel management. Four (4) years of experience in working with federal or state funds. Experience in researching business including fiscal and personnel solutions for a state organization.

    LICENSE: Valid Hawaii State Driver's License preferred.
