Established Fort Worth law firm seeking Associate Attorney for Civil Litigation department.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and review related documents; and if necessary, obtain additional information from members so that a coverage determination can be made timely.

• Conduct phone consultations with members, advising about the procedure involved in responding to specific civil litigation issues, any deadlines that apply, potential defenses, and their options.

• Perform legal research to understand area of law and adequately and competently advise clients.

• Draft and prepare appropriate court pleadings, and correspondence with the client, the court and the prosecution.

• Maintain all court deadlines, other case-related deadlines, and internal office deadlines.

• Represent clients in court for pre-trial hearings and trials.

Requirements:

· Three years of experience in the area of Civil Litigation is required.

· Must be licensed in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar.

· Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Must maintain all court deadlines and zealously represent clients in court.
