    The Cath Lab Tech is responsible to the Department Assistant Nurse Manager/Director and its clients for performing a variety of duties in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology to assist the cardiologist and electrophysiologist and the "quality" of radiological work in the EP or cardiac catheterization laboratory."

    What you will do

    • The staff must demonstrate the ability to assess patients' status and identify each patient's requirements relative to their age specific needs.
    • The Radiologic technologist assists in the acquisition of patient history and entering into Hemodynamic system and/or EMR.
    • Prepping patient and attaching leads, Defibrillator Pads, BP cuff and setting up the sterile field.
    • Assisting the Physician at the table maintaining sterile procedure. Responsible for availability of supplies and equipment keeping in mind fiscal responsibility.
    • Responsible for all duties related to Radiation Safety and Protection.
    Qualifications

    Education Qualifications

    Other Accredited Program Radiologic Technology Program or Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Program required.

    Experience Qualifications

    • Experience with pacemaker insertions preferred and
    • Experience in the Scrub position preferred
    • Experience in Special Procedures, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Catheterization Lab or Electrophysiology Lab also preferred
    • Advance EKG recognition course experience within 1st year of hire required.

    Skills & Abilities

    • Demonstrating proficiency in arrhythmia recognition. (Preferred)
    • Strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. (Required)
    • Team player. (Required)
    • Basic computer skills and experience with Hemodynamic Monitoring. (Required)
    • Use of a variety of equipment, including power injectors and various computers. (Required)
    • Knowledge of all radiation safety QA. (Required)
    • Knowledge of proper sterile procedure technique and infection control. (Required)

    Licenses and Certifications

    • Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) (Required)
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) (Required) and
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 Year (Required)
    • CCI equivalent. (Required) and
    • Licensed in the State of Ohio (Required) and
    • Certification of completion in a cardiovascular review course Preferred
