    Description
    Barrett Petfood is a family owned and operated premium pet food manufacturer. We are currently hiring for a Set Up Specialist for weekend shift (work 36 hours, paid 40). This position will be responsible for day-to-day support and troubleshooting of automated production equipment in the packaging department in the co-manufacturing operation.
    Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day support, job setup, and troubleshooting of packaging and production equipment, solutions may require development of new or improved equipment, processes, or techniques.
  • Automation and robotic support for multiple packaging lines.
  • Responsible for assisting plant engineering duties within the facility.
  • Works independently and with a team, conferring with Supervisor or Manager on unusual or complex assignments.
  • Assists in process engineering activities and projects in coordination with internal and external partners.
  • Identifies and investigates issues and provides solutions to management team.
  • Assesses feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests, products, and equipment.
  • Executes and leads performance improvement activities through OEE.
    • Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Associates degree in automation or robotics or equivalent work experience required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with coworkers effectively.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.

    Hours:
  • Saturday & Sunday 6:00am – 6:00pm
  • Additional 12 hours shift during week, schedule varies depending on company needs and employee availability.
  • Paid 40 hours.
