POSITION OVERVIEW: Join KB Home as a Community Purchasing Specialist to manage various purchasing tasks and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Take on responsibilities such as bidding, negotiating contracts, and ensuring smooth operations at the community level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create new communities for bidding on KBTPO/ KB Sharepoint.
Send Bid Invites to vendors.
Coordinate plans and research bidder queries.
Negotiate contracts and analyze bids for award decisions.
Manage documents on KB Sharepoint for accuracy and updates.
Communicate with internal and external partners for contract clarity.
Troubleshoot purchasing issues during construction.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
2-3 years of purchasing/contract negotiation experience.
Prior experience in homebuilding industry is a plus.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Organizational and multitasking abilities.
Action-oriented with strong project completion focus.
Effective team player with excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills.
Detail-oriented with technical and analytical skills.
Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.

COMPENSATION AND PERKS:

Base Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 annually.
Schedule: Option to work from home on Fridays.
Bonus: Eligible for annual discretionary bonus.
