    Job Description Summary

    The Associate Director, Technology Portfolio Vendor Management will oversee developing and implementing the Portfolio Vendor Management discipline. Use metrics and data visualization effectively to report on portfolio performance and support decision-making at the team or organizational level. Be a key member of the team by providing financial insight, roadmap planning and advisory services to a portfolio of assigned vendors. Provide sound advice and strategies based on vendor landscape. Help create common practices, tools, and templates for portfolio and project management, and ensure compliance with company and legal standards.

    This position reports directly to the Senior Director, Technology & Global Services Strategic Vendor Relationship Management.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage day-to-day portfolio activities and establish working plan for each vendor within the portfolio
    • Analyze and monitor performance, invoicing, and approved vendor roadmap.
    • Plan & facilitate business reviews and checkpoint meetings
    • Analyze key performance indicators to produce reports on portfolio and projects being worked on by vendors within said portfolio
    • Bring up issues that threaten portfolio and project success
    • Communicate with vendor partners about their performance
    • Align with other portfolio managers to ensure that the company investments are being effectively monitored and that returns are being improved based upon the agreed objectives.
    • Manage and minimize risk of assigned portfolio.
    • Partner with procurement & data teams to maintain up-to-date and complete performance data for portfolio reviews.
    • Attend industry conferences and participate on panels to facilitate information flow, individual growth and understand other F500 best practices.
    • Contribute to ongoing portfolio strategy development, rationalizing the vendor landscape to understand when to downsize, add or replace vendors within the portfolio.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Administrator, Computer Science or similar subject area required
    • Master's Degree preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years of IT vendor management, portfolio management and financial management experience
    • Generalist mindset with strong analytical skills and ability to act in an entrepreneurial setting decisively, yet in a disciplined manner
    • Ability to influence and break down silos within an organization as well across organizations
    • Ability to understand the mapping of organizational vision and contribute ideas
    • Ability to communicate complex business challenges in a simplified manner
    • Must be an authority who can influence partners in written and oral communications
    • Ability to lead change using positive and collaborative methods
    • Highly collaborative work style which includes working optimally across all organizational levels
