    Appellate Litigation Attorney Job Summary
    Our client is looking for a skilled litigation attorney specializing in appellate matters to join their New Orleans practice. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of litigation experience, with a focus on appellate cases. Prior federal court clerkship is required, and the candidate must possess exceptional legal research and writing skills.

    Appellate Litigation Attorney Responsibilities

    • Conduct legal research on appellate issues and prepare legal memoranda.
    • Draft appellate briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
    • Analyze lower court records and trial transcripts.
    • Assist with case strategy and development.
    • Prepare for oral arguments before appellate courts.
    • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
    • Manage case deadlines and court filings.
    • Stay current with legal developments and appellate court rulings.
    • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on case preparation.
    • Mentor junior associates and provide legal guidance as needed.

    Appellate Litigation Attorney Position Requirements

    • A JD from an accredited law school. Excellent academics a plus.
    • 4+ years of litigation experience, specifically in appellate matters.
    • A Louisiana bar membership in good standing.
