    Jacobs is in search of a customer service representative. You will be assisting in the day-to-day customer service activities for a large automotive testing facility. The pay rate for qualified candidates is $21/hour

    BRIEF OUTLINE OF SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The position will provide phone support at the maintenance customer service desk, receiving phone calls, creating work orders, and routing them to the appropriate personnel.

    _Additionally, providing support to the maintenance Crib to:_

    • contact vendors for quotes and updates.
    • help to track status of material deliveries.
    • order fuel for the tank farm
    • track past due orders.
    • other administrative tasks requested by Facility Managers.
    The job involves telephone calls, computer work, and communicating with personnel. Person must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.


    Here's what you'll need :


    MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL
    REQUIREMENTS:



    • HS Diploma

    • Must be organized efficient, thorough, have good written and verbal communications skills.

    • Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word).

    • Experience in using Work Management Systems (Work Orders) and is a plus.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

    Unusual or Special Physical Requirements of Position

    • Climbing: Requires walking around large facility and climbing stairs.
    • Special clothing/equipment (wearing):
    • There are quite often spills, drips, slippery spots. Non-slip reinforced safety shoes are required when in garages, shops, equipment spaces (outside typical office space). Substantial, closed toe, low heel shoes are mandatory at a minimum.

    • Hazardous conditions - What are they?: The work environment is in a test facility with vehicles, forklifts driving in the halls.

    Criticality of Attendance

    • Overtime, regular days, off days: Job is fulltime (40 hours per week),Monday through Friday . Regular attendance is mandatory. First Shift, 7:00 Am to 3:00 PM. Will work around school schedule
    • Shift, 1st, 2nd, 3rd: AFTERNOONS 3:00 TO 11:30PM Shift assignment is subject to change, so candidate must be flexible with available work hours. Overtime weekend work is possible and may become mandatory depending on testing needs.

    • Urgency for punctuality: Critical
    • Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary. Must have flexibility of work days to cover weekend testing requirements.

    • Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, health performance evaluation, and background check.
    • Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers.
    • Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written.
    • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others.
    • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Dependable personal transportation to work site is required.
