- Interacts positively with residents and models appropriate socialization and communication skills.
- Performs activities that assist residents in the day-to-day living, such as meal preparation, cleaning, etc.
- Follows daily schedule for housekeeping, laundry, meal plan and food preparation, etc.
- Provides protective oversight for residents at all times.
- Provides transportation and accompanies residents to local appointments when appropriate and/or necessary.
- Assists in the admission process
- Requests all needed supplies, monitors inventory, and completes grocery shopping, as needed.
- Provides medical administration as certified AMAP.
- Attends all staff meetings, Seneca required training, workshops or seminars. Maintains current certifications, including but not limited to CPR, First Aid, Crisis De-Escalation and Infection Control.
- Reports and documents any unusual events or violations of policy to the appropriate person.
- Represent Seneca in a positive manner including maintaining a positive attitude, performing duties in a manner in accordance with Seneca's Mission Statement and Code of Conduct and treats residents with dignity and respect.
- Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment and follows guidelines outlined in Seneca's Exposure Control Plan.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Description
Responsible for the general well-being of the residents, including, but not limited to, providing supportive services, assisting with day-to-day living activities, transportation, providing protective oversight, ensuring the resident's program plans are implemented and the resident attends scheduled activities.
High School Diploma or GED required. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must obtain and maintain AMAP certification. One-year experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, intellectual developmental disability and/or substance abuse/dependency disorder preferred. Valid driver's license and vehicle required. Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills required.
Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Employment Fitness Determination through WVCARES and a drug screen.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Behavioral Health Technician is expected to function as a team member and assist in other areas including shift coverage, if necessary, to meet the individual needs of the residents and insure the smooth running of the home. Employee is required to work shift work and may require the employee to work at any given time.
