- Performs therapeutic massages of soft tissues and joints to treat injuries and promote general wellness.
- Works closely with doctors to treat patients that are affected by pain, illness, or injury.
- May assist in the assessment of range of motion and muscle strength.
- Addresses physical pain and help patients find relief from injuries or illnesses
- Massage soft tissues of the body to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance.
- Assess soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion for documentation purposes.
- Perform massage therapy modalities based on your evaluation and determination of treatment plan for the patient.
- Abides by HIPAA laws
- Completes documentation of all therapies performed
- Responsible for keeping massage therapy license up to date and active
- Works closely with managers and providers.
- Perform other tasks as necessary.
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist
- Knowledge of patient assessment techniques
- Must have a valid Florida State Massage license
- At least 1 year of experience in clinical massage therapy
- Experience with electric stimulator equipment
- Experience Cold and Hot Pads
- Experience with ultrasound therapy machine
- Experience with Paraffin wax machine
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
