    to join our STL team.
    Category Strategy Design
    Lead the strategic sourcing process for

    Capital Expenditures, Facilities, and MRO


    for multiple sites, including identifying business requirements, conducting pre-project planning, defining project deliverables and timelines, collecting internal and external data, performing strategic analysis, and identifying short- and long-term opportunities that are built out into the category plan.

    Develop and execute compelling business, category and supplier management strategies that drive increased value in a financially constrained environment, through collaboration with key stakeholders, across but not limited to manufacturing, quality, technology and engineering, supply planning, engineering, and with our commercial partners.

    Lead cross functional teams throughout sourcing, negotiation, contracting and overall supplier selection lifecycle. Incorporating RFx team scorecards, due diligence checks, and other pre-award justifications.
    Conduct rigorous analysis of company external spend data, category market intelligence, and business requirements to understand value creation opportunity.
    Evaluate supply base risk, develop and execute agreed, prioritized plans to mitigate supply, quality, compliance and cost vulnerabilities.

    Partner with clients and internal development teams to align selection of appropriate suppliers with agreed upon supplier strategies and relevant category and business plans.

    Analyze and summarize RFx responses and results and prepare recommendations for executive leadership.
    Develop strategies and execute negotiation plans to maximize total value and minimize risks in intended supplier agreements.
    Develop, implement, and manage supplier relationships according to agreed and appropriate governance and category management plan.
    Manage supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in supply, quality, optimizing cash/cost/ value and assuring compliance. This includes managing the supplier business according to existing agreements, contracts and obligations, performance measures, and business expectations.

    Serve as primary business owner for assigned supplier relationships, including accountability for escalations, critical communications and relevant direction and decisions to most effectively manage the supplier.

    Collaborate with suppliers and key stakeholders to seek innovation, develop new capabilities as required and create value.

    Seek end to end continuous improvement within the supply chain for components and services, and identify opportunities to increase quality, assure On-Time In-Full supply and optimize cost.

    When performance issues emerge, identify root causes and work with internal and external stakeholders to drive efficient resolution with prioritized urgency.

    Business Management and Partner Engagement
    Establish annual standard costs for acquired materials, goods and services from assigned suppliers.

    Drive cost improvement and budget reduction efforts to achieve favorable variances versus standard costs and achieve year-over-year standard cost reductions.

    Collaborate with relevant departments to assist development of operating budgets through effective communication of supplier pricing and related cost improvement initiatives.

    Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and value contribution.
    Coordinate with other functions and impacted stakeholders to assure timely implementation and compliance with the agreed sourcing strategies.
    Other Key Responsibilities
    Help to develop sourcing & procurement best practices within a growing and diverse team.

    Ensure applicable sourcing & procurement policies, SOP's, and other documents are aligned to business requirements and help to assure they are followed by stakeholders.


    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    BS/BA degree in operations, supply chain management, business or related disciplines.
    Minimum of 7 years' experience in procurement.
    Minimum of 3 years' experience in procurement category management with demonstrated success.
    Experience managing complex (large value, multi-site, and / or business critical components) sourcing projects and supply situations.
    Proven ability to develop negotiation strategies, and successfully conduct negotiations for complex agreements.
    Strong, effective communication capabilities (oral, written and presentation skills) and including strong listening skills.
    Possess self-initiative, ability to function with moderate to minimal direction, ability to execute tasks per agreed timeframes,
    Demonstrates personal responsibility, respect, curiosity, challenges status quo and seeks excellence.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    MBA or MS in business, supply chain, engineering disciplines, strategy, economics, or sciences

    Certifications:
    CPSM, CPM, and/or PMP

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Chemical, Cosmetic or consumer goods industries; familiarity of Current
    Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and experience in heavily regulated environments.

    TECHNICAL SKILL PREFERENCES
    Familiarity with procurement systems, processes and procedures
    Indirect and CapEx

    category strategy manager experience. Preferably managing suppliers supporting

    Construction & Facility Services .
    Strong team development, collaboration, inclusion and relationship management skills
    Critical and strategic thinking skills; proven problem-solving competencies.
