    Position Summary

    The Junior Mechanical Engineer will join the mechanical engineering team to implement novel, reliable, and high quality designs for Trenton System's next-generation products, including high end server chassis design, edge-compute form-factors in rugged environments, and cutting edge enclosure designs for some of the industry's most demanding requirements. Typical duties include chassis design, mechanical and thermal simulations, design for manufacturability analysis, and design documentation. This role will work at the direction and supervision of senior team members.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products.
    • Collaborate with multi-disciplenary team of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers.
    • Create design output documentation (i.e. part models, drawings, parts lists, etc.) as necessary and review for completeness
    • Support Trenton's manufacturing resource(s) as required, providing support on technical issues
    • Participate in Design Review activities providing input from an Engineering perspective
    • Attempt to identify improvements in efficiency in processes and improvements in products and services and provide input to continuous improvement team
    • Identify and manage risk in products, processes, and environment
    Requirements

    Required:
    • BSME or equivalent, including experience
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in engineering design capacity
    • Experience with Solidworks
    • Knowledge of solid modeling CAD tools
    • Familiarity with MRP, CRM, or equivalent systems
