- Complete KRS 202A involuntary hospital evaluations.
- Provide supportive interventions to adults in a 24-hour mental health facility, ensuring that they have access to psychotherapy as well as an individual service plan and treatment plan.
- Provide screenings to walk-in's and phone referral.
- Additional responsibilities may include performing evaluations for the jail diversion and providing mobile crisis interventions to adults and children outside of LifeSkills facilities.
- Work with supportive and encouraging team of mental health professionals.
- Participate with other community leaders, such as emergency department staff, law enforcement and social services, to ensure a crisis intervention system is available for individuals in need within this community.
- Continuing Education and licensure expense budget.
- Supervision costs paid for individuals seeking full licensure and requiring supervision.
- Position requires a Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family, counseling with independent licensure or Bachelor's degree in Nursing with certification as a psychiatric and mental health nurse by American Nursing Association.
- Must meet requirements of Qualified Mental Health Professional as defined by KRS 202A.
- Strong preference for the candidate to have previous experience with crisis services.
- Good verbal and communication skills are necessary along with the ability to work calmly under stressful conditions.
