    Matrix Providers has a civilian opportunities for MRI Technologists to provide part-time care to the U.S. military and their families at Carl R. Darnell Army Medical Center at Fort Hood located in Killeen, TX.


    Status:
    Part-time


    • Saturday/Sunday (weekend coverage), 10-12 hour shift coverage. Clinic hours of operation are 7 am - 6 pm.

    Graduate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA.

    Adhere to radiation safety policies and procedures in accordance with Radiology Department policies and procedures.
    Process digital images and submit for interpretation by radiologists.
    Perform selected radiology examinations and procedures under the supervision of a radiologist.
    Responsible for evaluating image quality, making initial image observations and forwarding those observations to the supervising radiologist.
    Adapt examination protocols to improve diagnostic quality.

    Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that each patient receives quality care while in the radiology department or clinic.

    Document all procedures and maintain records in accordance with MTF policy.
    As directed, perform system calibrations and quality control tasks according to the manufacturer and MTF policy. Recognize artifacts and equipment errors and notify designated Government personnel of outlying values.
    Initiate repair call procedures for equipment malfunctions by notifying designated Government personnel. Report problems to the Biomedical Repair Section and record the problem condition in the trouble call log book.
