    The Neuromuscular Program at Henry Ford Hospital is seeking a board eligible/certified Neurologist with additional fellowship training in Neurophysiology/and or Neuromuscular to join our multi-disciplinary team.

    With 13 fellowship-trained Neurologists and one Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation/Sports Medicine Physician, Henry Ford's Neuromuscular Program has over 20 years of experience in the medical management of neuromuscular diseases. Our seven electromyography (EMG) labs have been designated Accreditation with Exemplary Status by the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine and are equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation and provide expertise in single-fiber EMG and autonomic testing. We opened our 8th clinic in . Our busy clinical practice completes over 10, visits and 4, EMGs annually.

    As an academic program, we are active in clinical trials and neurology research. Henry Ford's Neuroscience Institute is one of the largest and most active in the Midwest, offering the most advanced neurologic medical and surgical therapies across all the major subspecialties. Since , it has received over $ million in research funds and conducted more than clinical trials. Currently, more than clinical trials are ongoing for patients with neurological diseases. All centers within the Henry Ford Neuroscience Institute conduct research, with a major focus on translational research to fast-track scientific discovery from bench to bedside. We also have the Harry J. Hoenselaar multi-disciplinary ALS clinic which is a certified treatment center of excellence.

    This subspecialty practice position offers time for educational and other academic endeavors, including a teaching role with medical students, neurology residents, and neurophysiology fellows. This subspecialty academic practice position also offers the potential for a tenure-track academic appointment for those who qualify, through Wayne State University - School of Medicine and Michigan State University - College of Human Medicine.
