    Description

    Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist

    Supervisor: Director of Special Education

    Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:45pm Duration: 11 months

    Salary: Is commensurate with the candidate's years of relevant experience

    Description: The Speech/Language Pathologist is responsible for providing services and accommodations to students, including inclusion and small-group support to students.

    Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Provide small group and/or individual speech and language therapy for identified students in grades K-12 with communication, auditory, or language processing disorders.
  • Maintain records on the initial evaluation, progress, and discharge of students to identify problems, track progress, and justify treatment.
  • Develop an individualized plan of care for each student. Provide present levels of speech and language functioning and speech and language goals and objectives for students' IEPs.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, special educators, audiologists, and families to develop and implement individual or group programs and support classroom activities.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative assessment methods, including screenings,
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Licensed by Massachusetts Board of Registration for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology
  • Successful completion of school speech language pathology assistant training or equivalent
  • Experience in school based practice preferred
