Commercial Electrical Estimator / Project Manager

Locally owned and operated commercial electrical contractor that is currently seeking a commercial estimator/project manager to develop detailed electrical estimates and be able to manage these projects through final completion.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Actively pursue bid opportunities for construction-related projects.
Prepare change orders, quotes, assist in estimating, perform bid analysis on each bid completed. Coordinate bid reviews with operations.
Perform advanced takeoffs, read, and interpret plans, proposals, and other documentation to create bids.

Coordinate and ensure complete and appropriate communication to all project stakeholders throughout each project, including regular status reports, updating bid board, accurate and detailed bid presentations and assisting with RFQ's.

Help to build and maintain relationships with contractors and customers.

Develop pricing throughout all phases of the design process and be able to convert budgets into a final bid product.

Issue and track RFI's and change orders.
Keep field and office staff up to date on changes.
Help ensure that projects are being built in accordance with the current National Electrical Code.
Oversee materials submittals and procurement.
Attending project meetings as required.
Track costs for each project


Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional Excel skills.
Attention to detail.
Deep understanding of electrical construction bid processes.
Great written and verbal communication skills
Organizational skills, set timelines and assist in coordinating pricing.
Possesses strong abilities to multitask and adjust work efforts as needed.
Proficient understanding of construction processes.


Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
