    Job Summary: Ingredient Handlers supply food ingredients to the production line and to support equipment such as Tumblers, Rotary's, Mondini's, Net Weigh Fillers, Apple fillers, etc.

    Key Areas of Responsibility

    I.

    Safety:

    1. Understand the safety risks associated with job.

    2. Comply with all safety rules, procedures, and work practices.

    1. Understand the aspects of the job that impact the environment.

    III.

    Quality:

    1. Follow recipes and deviations at all times. Unauthorized deviations are strictly forbidden.

    2. Comply with all FDA rules, procedures and work practices.

    3. Follow all Nestle and GMP procedures.

    4. Maintain confidential information on recipes.

    5. Report all deviations from the recipe.

    IV.

    Operations:

    1. Prepares, labels, and delivers ingredients for weighers and operators. Get ingredients to the line 25 minutes prior to start-up and ensure line will have product at all times throughout the day to keep operations functioning at maximum capacity.

    2. Complete SAP transactions on all commodities prior to using them.

    3. Assist line with start-up and mid-shift in a timely manner.

    4. Be 100% responsible for assigned area and all assigned products. Make sure necessary support groups are notified of any problems in your entire work area.

    5. Monitor housekeeping on the production line/assigned area and coordinate efforts to maintain sanitary conditions at all times.

    6. Check ingredients issued for quantity and quality. This includes monitoring and recording all times on racks to ensure proper usage time.

    7. Determine and record yields/rack run times at first break, mid-shift and end of shift.

    8. Assist with clearing jams quickly in order to restart the line as soon as possible.

    9. Be knowledgeable and able to perform all mixer and cook stand supply duties if applicable.

    10. Know and follow all HACCP guidelines.

    11. Actively look for innovative ways to work around problems so that efficiency loss is avoided.

    12. Complete all paperwork legibly and accurately and in a timely manner including any required HACCP paperwork.

    13. Audit remaining ingredients, do usage corrections, returns, or correct WIP procedure as necessary for any left over commodities. Write scrap tickets when appropriate.

    14. Communicate completely in a professional manner with all production associates and support groups.
