    Description

    Summary of Position

    Lionsgate has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant in the Home Entertainment Accounting department.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in preparing journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, analyzing account balances and financial statements to determine variances from prior periods and budget, as well as preparing schedules that support account balances
    • Assist in preparing schedules for external auditors and assist in the preparation and support for SEC filings
    • Performs and maintains all functions in A/R billing, cash collections and cash application
    • Assist in preparing and reviewing A/R aging and production of customer statements to ensure timely payment reporting
    • Coordinate with internal Sales Department, Customer Service, Operations and Accounting/Finance regarding required financial reporting deliverables
    • In addition, the Staff Accountant will have a solid understanding of processes and controls in order to identify and help implement business process improvements as necessary

    Qualifications and Skills

    • The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
    • Minimum 4 years of experience within general ledger
    • Knowledge of general accounting principles and internal controls
    • Strong understanding of accounting systems and financial reporting
    • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
    • A CPA designation and some industry experience is preferred
    • Candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
    • Experience with SAP Financials Software would be preferred but not required

    Compensation

    $64,500 - $66,560
