    Description
    We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a specialization in EPS molding to join our dynamic team.

    The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of EPS molding processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure that our facility remains at the forefront of efficiency and quality in the EPS industry.


    Responsibilities:

    Safety and Compliance:
    Ensure that all processes and procedures adhere to industry safety standards, and company policies. Remain updated on industry regulations and standards.

    Process Optimization:
    Regularly evaluate current processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop solutions to enhance production rates and product quality.

    Assess new or existing manufacturing and business processes for potential improvements in safety/quality/efficiency/effectiveness.
    Use CAD modeling software for facility updates, design items, packaging solutions and engineering studies as required.
    Starting with 5S, identify, develop, implement, and monitor Manufacturing Engineering initiatives.
    Analyze, develop, and implement a process to measure equipment reliability in order to identify improvement opportunities.


    Troubleshooting:
    Address and resolve processing issues related to equipment, materials, and environment, minimizing downtime.

    Quality Assurance:
    Collaborate with the Quality team to establish and maintain quality standards, ensuring all products meet or exceed specifications.

    Equipment Maintenance and Upgrade:


    Recommend and oversee routine maintenance, as well as identify and justify new equipment purchases or upgrades in partnership with the maintenance staff.

    Lead Major/Capital Projects, researching and recommending investments to meet NIC / Customer needs. Manage project implementation and budget.
    May be assigned one type of equipment/tooling/operation to become the expert for the company.

    Develop, evaluate, and design enhancements to existing tools and equipment used in Manufacturing by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication processes, assembly methods, tooling, materials, and production equipment capabilities.


    Collaboration:
    Work closely with Production, Quality, and R&D teams to implement best practices and introduce new products or methods.

    Work with production and quality departments to ensure fabricated parts meet customer design specifications.
    Will work with Maintenance to ensure proper machine and work center up time and preventative maintenance scheduled down time.
    Initiate, facilitate, and lead Kaizen teams to improve quality, productivity, team member engagement to enhance Waste Free Manufacturing.


    Documentation:
    Maintain detailed records of processes, modifications, and outcomes. Create and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) as needed.

    May work on creating and installing standardized work processes.


    Training:
    Educate and train production staff on new or revised processes and equipment.

    Supervision:
    May supervise employees as assigned for specific task or assigned projects.

    Qualifications:


    Bachelor's degree in engineering from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.

    Minimum 3-5 Years in a manufacturing environment.
    Experience in an EPS manufacturing a plus.

    Understands design platforms such as Solidworks, DraftSight, and AutoCad with the ability to analyze information from these applications and implement designs required.

    CNC machine programming knowledge a plus.
    PMP certification is not required, but desired.
    Experience in Lean Manufacturing & 5S preferred.
    Experience in developing robust manufacturing processes.
    Experience in reading and understanding blueprints for fabrication and assembly operations.
    Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications.
    Ability to grasp complex concepts easily and pay attention to detail.
    Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills.
