    POSITION OVERVIEW: The Research and Data Analyst in a strategic account management team, plays a critical role in guiding the team's decisions and strategies through data-driven insights. They are integral to the strategic account management team, providing the insights necessary to tailor strategies, improve client relationships, and drive successful outcomes.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conducts high-level, customizable research and analysis in legal, business, and other subjects to support the firm's clients and practices as well as its business development and strategic initiatives.
    • Gather and manage client-related data from various sources, including sales figures, client feedback, market trends, and competitor information.
    • Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights relevant to the strategic account. This involves using statistical methods, predictive modeling, and data visualization techniques.
    • Develop regular reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to the team. These reports should highlight key performance indicators (KPIs), progress against goals, and areas for improvement.
    • Study client interactions, purchase history, and feedback to understand their behavior and preferences. This helps in customizing services or products to better match client needs.
    • Monitor market trends and conduct competitor analysis to understand the external environment. This includes identifying threats and opportunities that could impact the strategic account.
    • Use data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. This includes providing recommendations on account growth opportunities, risk management, and resource allocation.
    • Work closely with other team members, such as the marketing specialist and product manager, to align strategies and initiatives with the insights derived from data analysis.
    • Develop forecasts and predictive models to anticipate future trends and client needs. This helps the team to be proactive in strategy formulation.
    • Continually seek ways to improve data collection and analysis processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
    • Keep abreast of the latest data analysis tools, techniques, and industry trends to ensure the use of best practices.

    QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE):

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • BA/MBA in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Business, or related field.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills to translate complex data into understandable and actionable insights.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Experience in predictive modeling and statistical analysis.
    • Understanding of the industry and market in which the strategic account operates.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Repetitive movement of hands and fingers-typing and/or writing.
    • Have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading.
    • Occasional standing and walking.
