We want to hire the most talented people we can for our growing team Once youve had a chance to explore our current open positions please apply to the one you feel best suits you You can keep track of your progress in the selection process as well as stay updated on new positions that might interest you As Needed Scheduled Weekly Hours 04 POSITION PURPOSE Demonstrates proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process in a specialty unit contributes to the nursing assessment and development of nursing care plan and participates in evaluation of nursing care within assigned unit department or specialty area Shares responsibility with other health care disciplines Reports to Department of Nursing Director ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ensures optimal patient care utilizing nursing process Maintains patient records and documents ensures accurate record patients medical and nursing care Administers controls narcotics medications and IV therapies accordance Registered Nurse Nurse Practice Act Assesses plans patientfamily education discharge needs Recognizes responds emergency situations appropriately Accountable problem solving includes initiating delegating evaluating patientcare team functions Promotes environment conducive professional practice functioning role model resource person for other services team members Practices competencies based upon current scientific knowledge SPECIALIZED KNOWHOW REQUIREMENTS Current Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure required Associates Degree in Nursing required Bachelors degree preferred Maintains certification according requirements specialty unit Basic Computer knowledge strongly preferred Prior drawing blood preferred Thorough knowledge medical equipment instruments preferred Compensation Range $49.50 Available Benefits PRN Positions Gift Shop Discount CGH Day Care Discount CGH Dietary Discount Employee Assistance Program CGH Pharmacy Discount CGH Vision Center Discount Thank you for your interest career at CGH Medical Center>
