    Position Summary
    A well-established commercial roofing contractor is seeking a Project Manager - New Construction to support its growing operations in the Austin market. This role is responsible for managing commercial new construction roofing projects from handoff through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The Project Manager serves as the operational bridge between estimating, field leadership, subcontractors, and clients, with a strong focus on coordination, communication, and execution excellence.
    This is not a sales role. The position is centered on project execution, estimator handoff support, and close collaboration with operations and field teams. The role requires a balance of office-based planning and regular job site engagement and is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
    What You'll Do
    • Manage commercial roofing new construction projects from award through closeout
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between estimating, operations, field teams, and clients
    • Coordinate project schedules, labor planning, materials, and subcontractors
    • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards across job sites
    • Monitor project budgets, costs, and margins; identify risks and mitigation strategies
    • Support estimators during project handoff and preconstruction coordination
    • Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, compliance, and workmanship
    • Collaborate with superintendents and field leadership to resolve issues efficiently
    • Participate in project meetings, internal reviews, and closeout documentation
    • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across operations and project execution
    What You Bring
    • Experience in commercial construction project management (commercial roofing preferred)
    • Strong understanding of job site operations, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
    • Ability to manage multiple active projects concurrently
    • Strong communication skills with internal teams and external stakeholders
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven approach
    • Comfort working in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment
    • Proficiency with construction technology, reporting, and project tracking tools
    • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to job sites
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Direct experience managing commercial roofing new construction projects
    • Familiarity with GC-driven new construction environments
    • Experience coordinating closely with estimating and preconstruction teams
    • Knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods
