    Chemours is seeking a Buyer to join our growing Procurement team This position will report directly to the Global Procurement Strategy Director

    TT/CS at our Wilmington, DE location.
    The Procurement Team has an exciting opportunity for Buyer. They will become proficient in Procurement by learning the policy, procedures and processes of the function that ensures compliance. The successful candidate will manage the Chloralkali and Chlorinated Organics Portfolio. They will negotiate the pricing to meet the business requirements of our plant sites across all Chemours businesses. They will develop proposals from suppliers with respect to price, service, and any other conditions for the purchases. This role collaborates with the Global Procurement teams and all parts of the four Chemours businesses.

    The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Implement procurement strategies for chlorinated organics and chloralkali portfolio to maximize business performance.
    • Work with Category Manager, Chemours Supply Chain and Operations to understand and analyze business plans and requirements.
    • Negotiate, prepare, and execute procurement agreements by: + Understanding client requirements such as volume, price, quality, delivery mode, supply risk and supply chain impacts
    • Understanding supply market
    production routes, supplier share, market price, alternatives

    • Facilitating requests for proposals and competitive bids as needed
    • Defining negotiation targets:
    most desired outcome, best alternative, least acceptable outcome

    • Conducting negotiations, documenting agreements in contract terms and conditions, conducting contract legal and financial reviews, obtaining internal approvals, implementing contracts, reviewing contract/supplier performance after implementation
    • Develop and drive improvement projects to meet and exceed objectives in year-over-year and one-time savings, cost avoidances, and working capital savings.
    • Engage with Site Procurement Leaders to leverage learning and cost improvement opportunities.
    • Manage supplier performance in accordance with contracts.
    • Work closely with Chemours plant sites to resolve supply issues, implement procurement strategies, manage inventory, etc.

    The following is required for this role:

    • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, engineering, finance, or related field
    • Business acumen
    creating, positioning and negotiating commercial arrangements delivering competitive advantage

    • Analysis and judgment
    assess market dynamics, competitive costs, establish value targets, create alternatives

    • Drives results
    manage contractual timelines, contract renewal, planning for key negotiations, inputs to monthly business planning, develop and implement savings projects, proactively contribute to business quarterly results

    • Manage relationships
    develop and maintain effective relationships, understand supplier direction and value, define potential common ground, create options to align supplier offering with client requirements

    • Negotiating
    Strategy, planning, tactics, courage, effective communications

    • Ability to work effectively with a global supply base and global teams
    • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, engineering, finance, or related field
