Daugherty Management (DM) is the leading professional vacation rental and property management company in the Sandpoint market. We manage a growing portfolio of high-quality vacation homes and pride ourselves on exceptional service to both homeowners and guests.

We are seeking a Sales & Marketing Specialist who is a true self-starter — someone who enjoys working independently, loves talking with people, and has the intuition and charm to build trust and close opportunities. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to help grow a company and be rewarded for strong performance.

This is a full-time position with 2–3 in-office days per week in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Position Overview

In this role, you will define and implement sales and marketing communications across multiple channels, support new owner acquisition, enhance guest and owner communications, and help strengthen the Daugherty Management brand.

This role blends relationship-driven sales, luxury hospitality marketing, and operational understanding to support sustainable portfolio growth.

As part of onboarding and ongoing success, this position will learn and support Guest and Owner Services to gain a deep understanding of how our company operates, how guests and owners are supported, and how sales and marketing efforts integrate with day-to-day operations.

You will work closely with Operations, Guest & Owner Services, and Office Management.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to add vacation homes to DM's inventory
  • Build new business opportunities for luxury vacation homes in the Coeur d'Alene market
  • Build relationships with prospective property owners through outreach, follow-up, and education
  • Educate prospective owners on DM's luxury service standards, revenue strategy, and guest experience philosophy

Marketing & Brand Management

  • Develop compelling property descriptions and listing content tailored to the luxury vacation traveler
  • Complete property build-outs on DM's website, Airbnb, and Vrbo (website training provided)
  • Apply keyword strategy and basic SEO best practices in website marketing
  • Manage and maintain the Daugherty Management brand voice across all platforms
  • Manage social media accounts (may include content creation and posting or manage a 3rd party)

Communication & Content

  • Develop and maintain key guest and owner communication templates (check-in instructions, check-out, reviews, owner surveys, etc.)
  • Support the Guest & Owner Services Manager by assisting with property inquiries and guest communication as needed
  • Track competitors and stay informed on local and regional vacation rental market trends

Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Guest & Owner Services, and Office Management
  • Contribute ideas and solutions that improve systems, communication, and guest experience

Local Knowledge

  • Visit properties in Sandpoint, Hope, Sagle, Schweitzer, and Coeur d'Alene areas as needed

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales and/or marketing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial, "go-getter" mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Positive, creative problem-solver who works well with all personality types
  • Strong people skills with a natural ability to build rapport and trust
  • Working knowledge of social media marketing, keywords/SEO, and Google Analytics
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets
  • Ability to quickly learn new software (property management software training provided)
  • Comfort working with high-value homes, discerning owners, and elevated guest expectations
  • Hospitality, real estate, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required

Pay & Benefits

  • $24–$26 per hour DOE, with potential for performance-based bonuses
