    OverviewThe Department of Emergency Medicine at Cheshire Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practitioner (APRN or PA) to provide diagnostic evaluation and management of acute medical complaints for children and adults, presenting to the Cheshire Medical Center ED and the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital ED.

    Primary responsibilities for all assigned patients include ordering diagnostic testing, obtaining consultations, performing simple procedures within the advanced practitioner's scope of practice, prescribing medications, directing the administration of medications by nursing staff, and ensuring an appropriate disposition plan.

    The Cheshire ED serves as the community training site for the Emergency Medicine residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where each faculty member participates in the residency didactics program.

    Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is 30 minutes from the Keene campus and allows you to choose between living in the Monadnock region or in southeastern Vermont.

    Required Licensure/CertificationsMinimum Qualifications:

    • Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA program.
    • NCCPA certification or board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

    Required Licensure/Certification Skills:

    • Eligible for APRN or PA licensure in the State of New Hampshire.
    • Eligible for Federal DEA Registration.
