- Create complex engineering design layouts of parts and assemblies from engineering specifications, component data sheets, schematics, bills of materials (BOM), etc.
- Modify released drawings and BOMs via the internal Engineering Change Notice process.
- Execute judgment concerning dimensioning and tolerance, materials and finish selections, manufacturing costs, and in general, sound mechanical design practices.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings for fabrication and assembly.
- Interface with other engineers, production personnel, and suppliers to achieve product design success.
- Assist in training and supervision of junior drafters.
- Provide support to Production for solutions to manufacturing problems.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of directly related experience.
- Must have excellent knowledge of good engineering drawing practices and be familiar with military and industry standards.
- Must be proficient with SolidWorks and be familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe software.
- Must have strong organization and communication skills.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to climb stairs, sit, keyboard, see, hear, and read/speak English fluently.
- Associate degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or commensurate experience.
- Documented US Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident status.
