    Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney

    Full Time or contract

    Remote if you live in VT or NH, hybrid if you live in the Boston area

    Medium sized Law Firm located in Massachusetts is looking for an Attorney – Workers' Compensation Defense. Must be licensed in VT and NH with 3-5 years' experience.

    Duties:

    Provide legal advice and guidance on various legal matters.

    Conduct legal research and analysis to support legal proceedings.

    Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings.

    Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.

    Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.

    Prepare and present legal arguments and evidence in court.

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.

    Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area.

    Requirements:

    Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

    Admitted to the state bar association and licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction.

    Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and practices

    Proficient in legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective legal drafting and communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

    Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice.

    Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

    Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

    Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team of attorneys and support staff.
