    The Role

    We are searching for a fantastic new IT Specialist to become a valued member of our San Diego team. This role will be based in San Diego but will support our East Coast operations and will have hours of 5a-2p Pacific time.

    Your primary responsibility will be to execute a variety of IT initiatives, prepare IT setups and updates, and work collaboratively with our operations team to ensure all IT items are functioning flawlessly. You will also need to achieve and maintain the trust and confidence of all Hughes Marino team members regarding your ability to provide efficient and accurate responses when IT service is requested. You will be responsible for supporting IT operations for all the Hughes Marino office locations including San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Boston, Raleigh and Salt Lake City with more on the way

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • We strongly prefer experience with one or more of the following technologies:
    • Endpoint applications integration, deployment, support, and automation
    • Unified Communications technology (VOIP, IM, Telepresence)
    • Cloud-hosted email and storage sharing solutions
    • We highly prioritize candidates who can demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, and who show expertise in adjusting their written and verbal communication styles to match the differing audiences who request IT service.
    • Ability to collaborate with all internal teams to identify and correct a wide range of IT concerns.
    • Strong aptitude for learning and understanding numerous software packages, operating systems, computer hardware and other peripherals.
    • Prioritize and schedule technical service projects and routine assignments. Document and report on status of all projects and assignments.
    • Ensure satisfactory resolution of all IT ticket items. Ability to effectively manage incident responses in a timely manner.
    • Create and update documentation regarding software features, IT asset configurations, IT procedures, and training on IT systems.
    • Creative thinker with ability to recognize and solve problems by thinking outside the box.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
    • Great attention to detail, especially when managing different projects and documenting procedures.
    • Energized by growth and change.
    • Ability to complete projects under pressure in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Ability to work both independently and with a team.

    Qualifications

    • The role will be based out of our beautiful Hughes Marino Headquarters in downtown San Diego if selected.
    • Associates or bachelor's degree in IT, information systems, business, or related field is preferred.
    • Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in an analytical, operations environment.
    • Minimum 2 years' recent experience with face-to-face user support.
    • Must have a positive, "can-do" attitude, be adaptable, enjoy working collaboratively, and possess a strong team-oriented service mentality.
    • Must be flexible to travel to office locations outside of San Diego 5-10% of the time. Also requires flexibility with occasional planned (and infrequently unplanned) schedule demands outside of normal business hours.
