We are seeking a hands-on Controller who will own accounting operations and serve as the primary NetSuite power user,Responsibilities
- Own the monthly close:
- GL AP AR inventory accruals fixed assets
- Produce accurate timely financial statements management reporting Maintain reconciliations audit-ready financials Support budgeting forecasting cash planning leadership Manufacturing Inventory Accounting Own inventory accounting contract manufacturing environment Manage costing valuation reserves variance analysis materials labor overhead Partner closely operations ensure production WIP inventory accuracy Support margin analysis private label custom formulations large retail customers NetSuite Ownership Act day-day administrator power user Maintain chart accounts item records BOMs landed cost inventory setups Build maintain reports dashboards saved searches Troubleshoot issues independently escalating consultants Continuously improve how NetSuite supports business compliance Founder-Facing Judgment Problem Solving Navigate non-textbook situations owner travel international expenses cross-border activity Apply accounting judgment balances technical correctness business practicality Think creatively handle complex customer scenarios e g Costco-scale relationships volume-driven margin pressure Proactively identify issues propose solutions rather waiting perfect clarity Controls Compliance Support Maintain GAAP-aligned practices internal controls growing business Support audits tax filings external advisors Document processes without over bureaucratizing function Candidate Background Required Years progressive accounting experience Hands experience manufacturing CPG inventory-heavy environments Strong practical NetSuite experience manufacturing inventory modules preferred Comfortable being weeds making judgment calls Experience working directly founders owner-operators Willing work onsite full time production environment Strongly Preferred Experience supplements food wellness adjacent industries Exposure international suppliers travel global operations Track record operating effectively ambiguity Prior role small fast-moving founder-led business This Role Is You Enjoy figuring things out when playbook Comfy saying here approach this rather thats allowed Value ownership trust impact polish hierarchy Understand real businesses operate Compensation Notes Competitive compensation aligned hands-on Controller role Long-term inhouse opportunity meaningful ownership Direct access founders operational leadership Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job Finance Accounting Auditing General Business Industries Manufacturing Wellness Fitness Services Beverage Manufacturing
