    WAAW Foundation is a 501(c) non-profit organization (EIN founded in 2007. With headquarters in McKinney Texas, USA, the organization is also duly registered as a nongovernmental organization in Nigeria, Rwanda, and South Africa.
    Our Mission is to empower African women and girls to become transformative leaders through STEM Education Leadership, and Entrepreneurship training while making a significant impact on the world. With 58 Chapters across 24 African countries, WAAW's vision is to create a world where African women are formidable global leaders, transforming lives through technology, science, and innovation.

    WAAW Foundation's activities advance female human rights and promote economic empowerment for African women by providing relevant education in STEM, leadership, technology entrepreneurship, and innovation. Our programs promote female empowerment through increased female students' awareness, participation, and recruitment into Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) careers. This in turn breaks the cycle of poverty and promotes the participation of African girls in STEM nationally and globally.

    Job Title: Donor and Partner Acquisition Volunteer

    Job Location: Remote

    Work Hours: 3 hours/per week

    Department: Media and Marketing Department
    Reports to: Media & Marketing Manager

    SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE

    The Potential Donor Outreach Volunteer will play a crucial role in expanding the WAAW Foundation's donor network by identifying, researching, and connecting with potential partners and donors. This role will involve creating a comprehensive database of potential donors, crafting engaging outreach emails, and facilitating connections between the Foundation and potential supporters.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Research and identify potential donors, focusing on individuals, corporations, and foundations.
    • Initiate contact with people and organizations on our donor targeting list, maintain a well-organized and up-to-date database of potential donors, including contact information, interests, and potential partnership opportunities.
    • Utilize online resources, industry databases, and personal networks to gather information on more potential donors.
    • Send compelling and personalized outreach emails introducing the WAAW Foundation and its impact on women's and girls' lives.
    • Send targeted emails to potential donors, highlighting the Foundation's initiatives, success stories, and funding opportunities.
    • Track email responses and follow up with potential donors to ensure timely communication and engagement.
    • Serve as a liaison between potential donors, partners, and the WAAW Foundation, connecting them to the appropriate team members for further discussions and partnership opportunities.
    • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, including emails, phone calls, and meetings.

    REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

    • Strong organizational and time management skills are needed to manage tasks effectively.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to craft persuasive and engaging outreach emails.
    • Good and professional interpersonal skills
    • Proven ability to research and gather information from a variety of sources.
    • Proficient in email marketing tools and platforms.
    • Passion for social impact and a commitment to supporting women's and girls' empowerment.
    • Familiarity with the Google Office Suite; adept at using technology.
    • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
    • Proficiency in digital marketing channels, tools, and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, SEO, email marketing, marketing automation).
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
