    Job Summary

    • The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.

    Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan.

    • Possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and provide care needed.

    Ensures health comfort safety residents Contributes assessment residents administers medications treatments ordered Provides technical support healthcare professionals needed Documents interactions outcomes related resident care medication behavior activity dietary Skilled establishing maintaining effective working relationships resident healthcare providers public Ability work effectively professional supportive personnel interdisciplinary team Ability communicate clearly maintain confidentiality sensitive information Counsels residents family members advocate direction registered nurse advanced practice provider physician prevention treatment plans Knowledge education principles self-care program Performs duties assigned
