    Summary You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) at the Navy Medicine Operational Training Command of NAVMED OPER TRNG CENTER
    Duties


    • You will requisition office supplies, equipment, and publications.
    • You will make complete arrangements for large conferences including extensive travel arrangements for participants.
    • You will use microcomputer and word processing software to create, edit, move, sort, copy, store and print a variety of correspondence and documents.
    • You will take and transcribe minutes of meetings, correspondence, reports, and telephone conversations involving both technical and specialized medical terminology.
    • You will plan the work of the office, distribute work, ensure the acceptability of both the quantity and quality of work performed, and perform a range of administrative supervisory functions etc

    • A favorable ANACI (Access National Agency check with Inquiries) background investigation is required for a non-critical sensitive position requiring access to network systems
    Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector

    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

    • Using an automated system (e.g., management information system, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), to extract information;
    • Assisting with clerical and administrative functions to support the needs of the organization;
    • Preparing reports and maintaining documents in electronic files for easy retrieval;
    • Verifying evaluations for accuracy prior to submission to cooperated leveled human resource, {e.g., Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS)}; AND
    • Reviewing forms and instructions ensuring they are approved and controlled.
