    Job Summary

    The Youth Apprentice PSR (Patient Service Representative) role has the opportunity to be the patient's first contact and see all front-end operations.

    In this position you will learn about healthcare customer service, billing, and scheduling. You will also get the opportunity to work closely with other healthcare roles. This position is under the supervision of leading PSRs.

    What you will do


    • Coordinate communication between patients, family members, medical staff, providers, and administrative staff-via phone, in person, or through MyPrevea.
    • Learn and then conduct the process of scheduling and confirming patient appointments.
    • Obtain and confirm accurate demographic and insurance/coverage information.
    • Receive and route medical inquiries, complaints, and messages to appropriate staff.
    • Learn to assist patient or caller with financial questions regarding policies, insurances, payments, or other financial needs.
    • Appropriately collect required payments, including co-payments, outstanding balances, and payments due prior to services being rendered in accordance with Prevea policies and procedures.
    • Opportunity to work closely with other healthcare positions and departments.
    Education Qualifications


    • High school student in the grade level junior or senior. Participating in the Youth Apprenticeship program in accordance with school criteria. Required
