Critical Illness Recovery Hospital

Occupational Therapist (OT)

PRN/Per Diem/As Needed

Pay: $52.00 per hour

Responsibilities

We are seeking conscientious employees who will uphold the Select Medical Way, which involves prioritizing patients, enhancing the community's quality of life, fostering innovation, providing excellent care, and acting ethically.

You will be responsible for treating patients with complex requirements and difficult diagnoses, with opportunities to enhance your specialized skills.

Engaging in discharge planning for each patient, which includes arrangements, educating patients/families, and recommending adaptive equipment.
Supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students in OT and COTA programs.
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Administering individualized therapy to patients.
Assessing patient response to treatment and adjusting therapy as necessary during sessions.
Completing accurate documentation following department policies.
Participating in educational events within the department, hospital, and community.

Qualifications

You should demonstrate a keen understanding of patient needs, ensuring every patient feels informed, understood, and valued. Successful candidates are enthusiastic about delivering superior care quality and exhibit creative problem-solving skills, thriving in a dynamic setting.

Basic requirements:

Current valid state license for practice.
BLS certification needed upon hiring.
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy school.
Eligibility to take or having passed the NBCOT Occupational Therapists examination.
Completion of the National Registry Examination successfully.
