Job Details:

Work varied schedule with holidays, call, and float assignments per department guidelines
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for patients
Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on assessment data and patient needs
Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
Document all care activities in patient records in accordance with policy requirements
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
Participate in patient and family education and teaching
Maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the work area
Current valid RN license required in state of practice or compact licensure
BLS certification required
Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required
Experience in acute care setting within the past 12 months as Registered Nurse in specialty area required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Professional certification preferred
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and respond quickly to patient care needs
Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
