    A midstream Oil & Gas client of Insight Global's is seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer in Houston, TX.

    He/she will work closely with data architects and stakeholders to design and develop scalable data solutions on the Azure platform.

    This includes data ingestion, transformation, storage, and visualization.

    The client is making a big push for the utilization of artificial intelligence and machine learning throughout the organization, for a few large internal projects.

    The Data Engineer would be responsible for gathering data across multiple sources and business lines for the data science and AI/ML teams to use.


    Duties include:

    • Data Integration and ETL
    • Azure Service Implementation
    • Data Modeling and Optimization
    • Data Security and Compliance
    • Performance Tuning and Monitoring
    • Oversee code standards and technical execution
    • Provide architectural and design direction


    A qualified candidate will be in the Greater Houston area and able to go onsite to the client a minimum of 3 days per week.

    Required Skills & Experience

    Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

    Proven expereince operating in a complex enterprise environment

    Proficiency in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database

    7+ years of experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, or Scala for data manipulation and scripting

    Knowledge of data integration techniques, ETL processes, and data pipeline orchestration

    Nice to Have Skills & Experience

    Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML)

    Expereince with agile delivery frameworks
