    Seeking a Customer/1 Billing Tester with an energy utility background the resides in the Syracuse, NY or Waltham, MA area


    Duration:
    contract position 6-12 months

    Work locations:
    Syracuse, NY or Waltham, MA (hybrid/2-3 days onsite)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and execute test cases and test plans specifically for Customer/1 (or similar CIS) billing modules, including rates, meter reads, adjustments, and payment processing.
    • Verify complex utility rate calculations (e.
    g., Time-of-Use, tiered rates) to ensure regulatory compliance and revenue accuracy.

    • Identify, document, and track defects using a standard defect management tool (e.
    g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).

    • Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to understand requirements and functional changes.
    • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) activities and provide clarity on testing scope and results.
    Required Qualifications
    -3+ years of dedicated experience in QA testing within the energy utility sector.

    • Deep functional knowledge of the Customer/1 platform (or a similar Customer Information System/Billing System like SAP IS-U, Oracle CC&B, etc.)
    .

    • Proven ability to work with large data sets and perform data validation across systems.
    • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
    Preferred Skills (Bonus Points)

    • Experience with SQL for backend data validation.
    • Familiarity with automation testing tools (e.
    g., Selenium, ReadyAPI).

    • Knowledge of meter to cash processes.
