    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Network Director, Clinical Pharmacy is a member of the UVMHN Pharmacy leadership team. The Network Director participates in the development and execution of the Network department strategic and operational plan. The Network Director will provide leadership, strategic direction and operational planning to advance clinical services across the continuum of care within UVMHN. The Network Director will provide oversight of professional activities of clinical pharmacist and provide guidance for clinical integration, standardization, and expansion across all pharmacy services. The Network Director will work collaboratively with all the Directors of Pharmacy Services and will be a liaison with nursing and medical leadership for drug utilization, quality outcomes, and scholarship activities.

    EDUCATION:

    A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-accredited college or university is required.
    Pharmacist licensure in Vermont or New York is required.
    Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency is preferred.
    Board Certified through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties is preferred.

    EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum of 7 years as a pharmacist with at least 5 years progressive leadership experience at the manager level and above with increasing responsibility for the management and supervision of pharmacy personnel with emphasis on pharmacy systems, practice management, pharmacy education programs and relationships with academia, formulary management, and operational policies and procedures.

    Experience in an organization that is affiliated with an academic medical center or large, complex teaching hospital is required, and an understanding of collaborative opportunities with colleges of pharmacy.
